Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago have two of the strictest age rules in the Caribbean. Most of the cheap Japanese used cars you see online are simply too old to register there. This page lists only the cars in our stock that do qualify in 2026, each with a link to its full listing.
The Rules in 2026

Good for city driving, low fuel cost and lower duty.

The Yaris is the cheapest way into Jamaica or Trinidad from our stock. The Note e-POWER is a series hybrid: the petrol engine only charges a battery and the wheels are driven by an electric motor, so it's very economical in traffic.

These 2021 models fit Jamaica's 5-year rule but not Trinidad's 4-year rule, except the 2022 Touring.

Duty Is the Big Number
In both countries, import duty and taxes can be a large share of the total cost, and they usually rise with engine size. A 1.0–1.2 litre car like the Yaris or Note can be much cheaper to land than its purchase price suggests compared with a bigger SUV. Ask your broker for a duty estimate on the exact car before you choose.
