The Fuso Fighter is Mitsubishi Fuso's medium-duty truck, a direct rival to the Isuzu Forward and Hino Ranger. It carries roughly 4 to 8 tonnes with a six-cylinder diesel.
Nearly new is common
Much of our Fighter stock is nearly new - recent model years with very low kilometres, often straight from Japanese body builders. These cost more than older trucks, but suit buyers who want a long working life and modern safety kit, and markets with strict age limits (for example Kenya's 8-year rule).
Versions
- Standard or Wide cab and body, and Long wheelbases for bigger decks.
- Flatbed, aluminium wing, box, refrigerated, dump and crane bodies.
- Mostly 4x2; some 6x2 and 4WD.
What to check on any Japanese truck
- Body type: flatbed (hira), box/van, aluminium wing, refrigerated, dump, tipper or crane. The body is often worth as much as the chassis.
- Mileage and hours: long-haul trucks cover big distances. Look at the auction sheet and service records; low-km nearly new trucks cost more but skip years of wear.
- Emissions kit: newer trucks use a diesel particulate filter (DPD/DPF) and many need AdBlue (urea). Make sure your market can supply and service them.
- Payload and licence: check the rated load in the listing against your local truck licence and axle-load rules.
- Steering side: Japanese trucks are right-hand drive. Some left-hand-drive countries restrict RHD trucks - check before buying.
The live table below counts how many of these trucks each country's age rule accepts. Truck freight depends on the body length and height, so we quote shipping per truck instead of showing an estimate - send us the stock number.
