Prices below are delivered to Mombasa (East Africa) and Nassau (Bahamas). Other Caribbean ports are usually a little more than Nassau. Always check your country's age rule first, which you can do on the import markets page.
Under $5,000: Small SUVs and Older 4WDs

Tips for Buying an SUV from Japan
- Shipping: SUVs are bigger than cars, so freight costs more. The prices above already include it.
- 4WD vs AWD: Subarus and many CX-5s are AWD; the Prado and Wrangler are proper 4x4s with low range for off-road use.
- Diesel: diesel SUVs (CX-5 XD, CX-8, Prado 2.8) pull strongly and use less fuel on the highway, but need good-quality fuel.
