The Copen is a tiny two-seat roadster with an electric folding hard top ("Active Top") and a 660cc turbo engine. It's cheap, fun and very well built.
Two generations
| First gen (L880K) | Second gen (LA400K) | |

| Years | 2002–2012 | 2014 onward |
| Engine | 660cc turbo, 4-cylinder | 660cc turbo, 3-cylinder |

What to check
- The roof: ask for a video of it opening and closing. The hydraulics and seals are the main repair cost on older cars.
- Leaks: water marks in the boot or footwells.
- Manual or automatic: the 5-speed manual is the enthusiast choice and holds value.
- Kei registration rules in your country.
The live table below shows which countries' age rules accept how many, and the cheapest delivered to each main port.
