The Sai (AZK10, 2009–2017) is a 2.4 hybrid mid-size sedan, the Toyota-badged twin of the Lexus HS 250h. It's a quiet, comfortable, economical car that's cheap to buy because few people outside Japan know it.
The spec
- 2.4 petrol hybrid with e-CVT, front-wheel drive.
- Grades S, G and the "A" packages; the 2013 facelift changed the front end and improved the interior.
What to check
- Hybrid battery health on high-mileage cars.
- Brake actuator (on some Toyota hybrids of this era): ask for any warning lights.
- Parts: shared with the Lexus HS and Toyota hybrids of the same era.
Sais are 2010–2017 cars, so they suit no-age-limit markets: Uganda, Tanzania, the UK, Ireland, New Zealand and most Caribbean islands. The live table below shows which countries' age rules accept how many, and the cheapest delivered to each main port.
