The Liteace is a small, simple commercial vehicle, larger than a kei van and smaller than a Hiace. It comes as a van and as a pickup truck.
Generations
- S400 series (2008–2020): 1.5 petrol, 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic, rear-wheel drive or 4WD. Built by Daihatsu (twin of the Gran Max) and sold alongside the Townace.
- Older Liteace (1980s–2000s): simple vans and trucks, some with diesel engines.
Uses
Small delivery businesses, tradespeople, farms and markets. Payload is around 750–800 kg on the truck.
