In Japan the current-shape Camry (XV70, 2017–2023) was sold only as a 2.5 hybrid, so every Japanese Camry is an economical, smooth hybrid sedan. It's a big, comfortable car at a mid-size price.
Grades
- X: entry grade.
- G: more equipment, leather options.
- WS: sportier bumpers, paddle shifters and firmer suspension.
E-Four all-wheel drive arrived on some grades from 2021. The 2.5 hybrid (A25A-FXS) is shared with the RAV4 Hybrid and is known for reliability.
What to check
- Hybrid battery health on high-mileage examples.
- Japanese-market satnav: usually replaced or bypassed with phone mirroring.
- Taxi use: some Camrys were taxis or hire cars. The auction sheet notes it.
