Japanese-market Tesla Model 3s are right-hand drive, and many come up at auction at prices well below what they cost new. Most of our stock is 2020–2022.
Versions
- Standard Range Plus / RWD: single motor, rear-wheel drive. The SR+ is the earlier name; recent cars with LFP batteries are sold as RWD.
- Long Range (Dual Motor AWD): two motors, more range, all-wheel drive.
- Performance: rare in our stock.
The model code (3L13, 3L23 and similar) identifies the version.
Battery health
Ask us for the battery state-of-health or a range reading at full charge. We'll request it from the seller where possible. Range loss is usually gradual, but it varies with how the car was charged.
Charging: check this first
Japanese Teslas use the charging connector sold in Japan, not the Type 2 / CCS2 standard used in the UK, Ireland, New Zealand and much of the world. Before buying, find out:
- whether a charge-port conversion is available in your country,
- whether local public chargers will work with the car, and
- whether Tesla service and software support the car in your country.
Who can import one
RHD Model 3s fit the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Jamaica and the Caribbean. 2021-on cars pass the 5-year limits. For the UK and NZ specifically, see Tesla Model 3 to the UK and New Zealand.
