Most of the Accords we list are the JDM-only Euro R, the high-revving sports sedan Honda built for Japan, and the majority have a manual gearbox. There are also Accord Hybrids for buyers who want a comfortable, economical sedan.
Euro R: CL1 and CL7
- CL1 (2000–2002): 2.2 H22A VTEC, 5-speed manual.
- CL7 (2002–2008): 2.0 K20A, around 220 hp, 6-speed manual. The most common in our stock.
Both have Recaro seats and a limited-slip differential, and they are increasingly collectible.
Accord Hybrid (CR6/CR7, 2013–2020)
Honda's two-motor hybrid with very good economy. The EX grade adds leather and more equipment.
What to check on a Euro R
- Modifications: many have been modified. Originality matters for value; ask for photos of the engine bay and interior.
- Clutch and gearbox synchros, especially 2nd and 3rd.
- Rust around the rear arches and sills on cars from snowy regions.
The 25-year rule
CL1 Euro Rs from 2000–2001 are now more than 25 years old, so they qualify under the 25-year rules of the United States and Australia. CL7s become eligible year by year from 2027.
