Japan loves the Fiat 500, and Japanese-market 500s are right-hand drive, usually low-mileage and cared for as second cars. Most of our stock is 2019–2024.
Engines
- 1.2 (8-valve, 69 hp): simple and robust, the most common in our stock.
- 0.9 TwinAir (two-cylinder turbo): characterful and economical, with a distinctive sound.
- 1.3/1.4 turbo: the 500X crossover's engines.
The gearbox
On the 500 and 500C, "automatic" almost always means Dualogic, an automated manual. It shifts with a pause you have to drive around; it isn't a torque-converter automatic. The 500X uses a conventional dual-clutch automatic.
Body styles
- 500: 3-door hatch.
- 500C: the same car with a full-length fabric roof that folds back.
- 500X: a bigger 5-door crossover, more practical for families.
Popular grades include Cult, Pop, Lounge, DolceVita and Sport.
What to check
- Dualogic service: ask whether the actuator has been serviced.
- 500C roof: fabric condition and the drain channels.
- Small-car tyres and brakes are cheap, so budget little for wear items.
Who can import one
RHD 500s suit the UK, Ireland, New Zealand and the Caribbean. Recent cars pass Jamaica's and Trinidad's age limits. The table below shows the live count and delivered price by country.
